Information stored in your browser
MovieStars uses browser storage for saved titles, series checkpoints, recently opened title pages, viewing-country preference and the selected light or dark appearance. These features do not require a MovieStars account. Storage can be unavailable in restricted browsing modes or removed through the browser’s website-data controls.
Search and external requests
Search terms and selected filters can appear in the page address. Avoid entering private information into a movie search. Page hosting and external image hosts may process request information needed to deliver their content. Movie posters and title information are sourced from TMDB.
Leaving MovieStars
Watch now opens JustWatch with a title and country choice. Continuing to another viewing service takes you to that service’s terms and privacy practices. MovieStars does not receive its account credentials or payment information through these links.
Keeping or removing your list
Use the Watchlist backup tool if you want a copy before changing browsers or clearing stored website data. Keep that copy wherever you normally keep private notes. Remove individual saved titles through their Save control, and use the available checkpoint and recent-history controls for those browser records. Deleting website storage can remove several preferences together.
